Understanding 2D, 3D, 4D, and 5D Imaging

2D IMaging

The most common type. It creates flat, black-and-white images showing slices of internal structures in real-time.

3D Imaging

Takes multiple 2D images and combines them into a three-dimensional image. Useful for clearer views of anatomy.

4D Imaging

Like 3D, but in motion—shows real-time video of the 3D image (e.g., a baby moving).

5D Imaging

An advanced version of 4D with enhanced clarity, lighting, and skin-tone rendering. Often used for more lifelike images.
